A white canvas has a series of primary colored crosses – brushstrokes of acrylic paint – and the same amount of vinyl sticker dots. The compositions, made by the artist’s two-year old daughter, are appropriated from the Montessori school exercises that train children color identification and correlation skills. During these exercises, the children have to match objects of the same color, beginning with the three main colors of yellow, red and blue. The exercise gets more complex when additional hues and tones are added.
