This etching is part, and “the mother” of the Afangar icelandic series by Richard Serra.
Etching on Fuji DHM handmade paper laid down to Meirat Velasquez handmade paper.
It is like a relief.

The whole series was exhibited at the MOMA in 1991.
This particular print was exhibited at he Kunsthalle Mannheim in 2000, exhibition “Plastische Grafik”.
And at the Museum Liner (now Kunstmuseum Appenzell) in 2009/2010, exhibition “Konkrete Idole”.
