Ad Minoliti’s multivalent practice draws from the visual languages of modernist forms, popular culture and geo- metric architectural representation. The artist’s work, which encompasses painting, print, and sculpture, demonstrates sustained focus on eroticism, gender expression, and techno futurism. This emphasis, expressed in the intricate scenes and characters staged by Minoliti, imagines utopic trans-human, gender-queer futures while maintaining and insisting on the universality of our shared humanity. Recent solo exhibitions include ATRIUM PROJECT curated by Carla Acevedo-Yates at MCA Chicago; Fantasías Modulares, curated by Isabel Casso at the Mass Moca, Massachusetts; Soft Museum, cu- rated by Carla Barbero and Marcos Krämer at the Museo de Arte Moderno de Buenos Aires; and the 58th International Art Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia Venice, IT curated by Ralph Rugoff. In 2020/2021, Minoliti will have solo presen- tations at the Kunsthalle Lissabon, Lisbon, The Contempo- rary Arts Museum Houston, Houston; and will take part in a group exhibition at the ICA Los Angeles as well as the 13th Gwangju Biennale directed by Defne Ayas and Natasha Ginwala.
